- 2. To what do you attribute those victories? (Don’t be cocky or overly modest!)

- 1. First John 5:1 lists two characteristics of an overcomer. What are they?
- 2. There is a third characteristic of an over comer (vv. 2-3). What is it?
- 3. Looking back over this short passage, what terms and phrases did John repeat? Why this repetition?
- 4. What did John mean by his statement that God’s commands are not “burdensome” (v. 3)?
- 5. According to John, what is the way to become an overcomer?
